We are seeking a professional, organized HR & Payroll Admin for our team. The HR & Payroll Administrator’s primary functions involve oversight and management of all administrative activities of HR and Payroll. Responsibilities include personnel administration, payroll processing, policy, benefits and worker’s comp management. This is a one-person department, so the ideal candidate must be independent, self-motivated and maintain a high level of leadership, integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining personnel records, managing employment records, pre-hire and new hire requirements and facilitating onboarding and orientation
  • Updating HR & Payroll databases and monitoring time and attendance, time-off requests and preparing periodic attendance and exception reports for multi-state payroll for 65 employees and growing
  • Managing employee benefits(e.g. medical, dental, vision, group insurance and 401K)
  • Employee relations and retention
  • Coordinating with applicants for interview and pre-hire processing
  • Policy development and documentation
  • Ensuring HR, Labor & Safety compliance
  • Developing departmental goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree, preferably in HR and MBA a plus
  • License or certification: PHR, SPHR, APHR, SHRM-cp, SHRM-scp preferred
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with employment law(CA and WA), safety and compliance
  • 5+ years’ HR Management and Organizational Development experience
  • 5+ years’ benefits administration experience
  • 5+ years’ employee development/hiring/training
  • Strong business acumen and knowledgeable in the wholesale distribution market preferred
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material and maintain a high degree of professionalism
  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated job stability
  • Valid driver’s license

Compensation & Benefits:

Job Type: Full-time, Salary Range 55K~70K
